Haha, your mention of an annoying Christmas songs just reminded of "Christmas Shoes."
I remember when I was a first year in college. Email was a novelty and it seemed like all my friends and I did then was forward emails. Which, yeah. Anyway, that's how I first encountered "Christmas Shoes." At first, it was a sweet and sentimental story. By the nth time I'd gotten the email in my Inbox, however, it had ceased to have any resemblance of charm. A few years later, someone made a Christmas song out of that same forward! And then about a year or two later, there was a made-for-tv movie about it. It drives me bazonkers every Christmas season.
But then, this past Christmas, I was driving down to my parents to spend the holidays with my entire family, and I don't know what was going on, but the song popped up on the radio and I started getting a little teary-eyed!!!! Haha. I properly horrified myself (and one of my friends, when I told her about it later, as she and I have always bonded over disliking it so much). :P
Mary, I hope we'll get a picture of the bridesmaid dress! Congrats to your sister. Ad hope work/library-related opportunities start looking up.
